Property Law: Cases and Materials by the highly respected academic Roger Smith is quite a daunting looking text book.  The text includes some 825 pages which makes it more substantial than it's companion: Property Law, 4th Edition which is also by Smith.

The text includes substantial case and legislation extracts.  Smith has, however, selected the extracts which are relevant whilst not upsetting the balance and fluidity of the text.  Extracts such as office copies of the charges register for a registered property are also excellent inclusions and prepares the student for life on the LPC/BVC and as a practitioner.

The text also includes the superb comments by the author after each extract.  These are thought provoking and enables the student to put the extract into context.  The one small minus is that the comments don't include answers which would help a student who may be struggling to answer any of the comments.

This is an excellent cases and materials book on Property Law.  It is extremely accessible and is certainly worth the money - a must purchase for anyone interested in property law!
