Law Express: Land Law is written by John Duddington, the former Head of Law at Worcester College. Duddington's experience as an academic and former barrister means the text serves as a concise aid and ensure a student is fully prepared for examinations and assessments. It also, perhaps more importantly, allows the reader to understand the basics so that revision can be properly organised to ensure the key points of land law are mastered. Law Express: Land Law is perfect for those feeling overwhelmed by the flood of new and often seemingly incomprehensible information. The tone and written style is accessible and reader-friendly. It also makes the fundamental aspects of land law clear and easy to understand: this is a prerequisite to comprehending this area of law. Duddington also identifies the key issues that students struggle with: language and structure. This text is designed to tackle these problems and recognises that if you can master both these elements, you have gone a long way to achieving a reasonable success in your exams. Importantly, Law Express: Land Law links different areas together showing how the law builds up. Each chapter concludes with a visual map which displays how each topic develops: this is an excellent idea. There are also very useful revision checklists and key definitions are emphasised. Duddington also uses diagrams for more complex issues and to help the reader remember and visualise key points. These features, together with the Companion Website which is regularly updated and includes a number of excellent resources to sharpen your land law knowledge, makes Law Express: Land Law excellent value for money.
